Wal-Mart, Target Black Friday Tech Deals Revealed

It's that time of year again: when millions of Americans will descend upon 'big box' stores and shopping malls to get their bargain 'fix' on Thanksgivings' so-called 'Black Friday' super-sales day.

If you're looking for the latest technology hardware, you might want to check out Wal-Mart, where tablet PCs, flat-screen TVs, Blu-ray players, and video games are all on sale at reduced prices.

Arguably, the biggest bargain involves Apple's 16GB iPad 2, which is available for $399 and comes with a $75 gift card. The iPad 2 typically retails for about $400, so you're essentially getting the gift card free.

In other words, buyers will be getting the iPad 2 for a few bucks less than the price of Apple's new iPad Mini, which retails for $329.

If you're not an Apple fan but are on the lookout for a cheap tablet computer, you can pick up Barnes & Noble's Nook Color for just $99. That's a savings of $40. The Nook Color features a 7-inch display and 8GB of storage.

Big Screen TV, Blu-ray Player Prices Slashed

The retailer is also offering an Emerson 32" flat-screen LCD high-definition television for just $148. The deal allows buyers to purchase an HDTV for less than the price of an Apple iPad Nano. (Source: usatoday.com)

If you're planning to buy that Emerson LCD TV, you can also purchase an LG Blu-ray player for just $38. That's a shockingly low price for a device that, just two years ago, would have cost between $200 and $300.

Prices of New Video Games Cut in Half

Finally, the big box retailer is drastically reducing the price of recently-released video games for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo Wii. For example, NBA 2K13, Madden 13, and FIFA Soccer 13 are all priced at $25, about half their usual cost.

Wal-Mart will be offering these prices only for in-store stock, and once they run out won't be providing any rain checks.

Toys 'R Us, Target Offer iPod Bargains

Elsewhere, Toys 'R Us is offering video game fans a buy one, get a second for $1 deal on most titles. The store's other big bargain offers iPod Touch buyers a $20 gift card and $30 iTunes multipack. Meanwhile, Target and Best Buy are offering similar deals on the iPod Touch.
