Step-by-Step how to Build a Web Site?
Infopackets Reader Karen K. writes:
" Dear Dennis,
I have been trying to find a way to build a web site, but I am having a very hard time finding what I need. Maybe you can help me. My problem is that I have ADHD [Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder]. I don't know how much you know about the disease, but I have a very hard time comprehending anything that someone tries to teach me. Most of the time, it takes at least twice as long for me to learn something (compared to most people).
Anyway, I have been trying to find someone (or even a book) that can show me step by step how to build a Web Site. I will be looking for a site that is free, where I can advertise my new web site. I need something like what you would use to teach a child how to use -- you know, with lots of pictures and all. So far, no one can help me, and I have looked all over the Internet to see if maybe I could find a book to teach me, but no luck. Should you know of anyone out there that might help me, please let me know. I am desperate and need help now! "
My response:
The Newbie Club's "First Web Builder" should be right up your alley. It shows you how to build a web site using free services on the web [so that you don't have to spend money on hosting or advertising your web site], plus it's jam-packed full of useful utilities you can use to create your web pages. I have personally downloaded First Web Builder v2.1 and wholeheartedly recommend it; it is very well written and very well put together.
