Business Contact Manager: MS Outlook

A reader recently inquired: " In MS Outlook, how can I get all of the items from a Contact's Activity Page to copy into MS Word? "

With Outlook Business Contact manager, you can capture and track opportunities so follow up on business leads, etc. You can also efficiently re-use existing business data for other purposes.

You can take advantage of existing customer information by importing it directly into Outlook with Business Contact Manager and eliminate the need to re-key the Information. You can export the data to another copy of Outlook with Business Contact Manager, or a comma delimited file for use in other applications such as Excel.

To Export:

  1. On the File menu, point to Import and Export, and then click Business Contact manager.
     
  2. Click Export a file, and then click Next.
     
  3. Select the file type you want to export to, and then click Next.
     
  4. Follow the instructions in the Business Data Import/Export Wizard.

To Import Business Data:

  1. On the File menu, point to Import and Export, and then click Business Contact Manager.
     
  2. Click Import a file, and then click Next.
     
  3. Select the type of file that you want to import and then click Next.
     
  4. Follow the instructions in the Business Data Import/Export Wizard.

You can also Generate Reports:

  • On the Business Tools menu, point to Reports, point to Accounts, Business Contacts, Opportunities, or Other.
     
  • Click the specific report you want to generate.
     
  • Use the report toolbar to sort report data, modify the information displayed, or print the report.
