Before using the mouse to move or copy a sheet between workbooks, both the source and target workbook files must be open.

Follow the steps below:

  1. Open both workbooks and choose Window | Arrange.

  2. Choose Tiled.

  3. Choose OK.

  4. When moving or copying to a new workbooks, it is not necessary to create the workbook first. When the sheets are dragged to an empty area on the desktop, a new workbook is automatically created.

  5. Select the tab(s) of the worksheet(s) to be moved or copied.

  6. To move the sheet(s), drag the tab(s) from the source workbook to the target workbook.

Or:

  • To copy the sheet(s), press CTRL and drag the tab(s) from the source workbook to the target workbook.

  • When the target workbook becomes active, position the triangular pointer just before or after the desired tab in the source workbook, then release the mouse button.

And there you have it! That wasn't so difficult was now was it?
